Research in Grant County has been steadily increasing and in an effort
to meet the needs of the researchers, I've decided to start a "Query Page."
Many of you already know how a query page works, but for those of you who don't -
I'll briefly explain.
You'll simply fill out the email provided by the link below ... ALWAYS show,
GRANT CO. QUERY REQUEST, in the subject line of the email. This will insure
proper handling of your request. I'm very, very busy and it becomes a time
consuming job when I have to write back inquiring as to the purpose of your
email.
In the body of your email you'll want to include who you're researching, when and
where they resided in Grant Co., your own name and any other pertinent genealogical
information that might help others in determining a family connection. Try to keep it as brief as
possible, direct and to the point.
Please Be Sure To Show: "Grant Co. Query Request" In The Subject Line

The information our family has is a George Edgar SIMMONS or
George Ernest Simmons married Viola Ellen STRATTON in Canyon City,
Grant Co., Oregon on March 15, 1920. We cannot confirm any marriage.
George was supposedly born September 4, 1898. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. We call him the "mysterious George Simmons."
Viola was grandmother on our lineage.

My mother Benonia LaVelle DICKERSON, was born in 1926 in Austin, Oregon to Benjamin Franklin Dickerson and Norma Ellen GARD. When Benonia was approximately 16 years old she gave birth to a daughter, Doris, and later worked at Kinzua Pastime in Kinzua, Oregon. I am looking for any and all information about any of these individuals....some kind of record that they existed. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching TRUELOVE family, i.e. Mary Jane TAYLOR married to William
Truelove from Prince Edward Island, Canada. I am researching the Taylor
family and I believe Mary Jane and her husband settled in the Grant Co.
area. The only information I have is note in an old autograph book
which states "Your loving Aunt Mamie, Grant Co., Oregon". My Taylor
ancestor William left P.E.I. about 1875 and went to Humboldt , CA. Mary
Jane was his daughter. Does anyone have any information for this
family? Would really appreciate your help, Thanks, Marlene.
