Shepperd's Dell - On the Columbia River Highway, 29 miles from Broadway
and Stark Streets; 10.03 acres [presented to the City of Portland by
George Shepperd, a man of very modest means]. Shepperd's Dell is one of the
most beautiful of the many places of natural grandeur along this great
highway. The park has been dedicated to the memory of George Shepperd's
wife.
